Arin McNamara
B.Ed., M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl.Ac. (NCCAOM)

Arin McNamara graduated from the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine (MITCM) in 2003 and is a board certified acupuncturist (NCCAOM) licensed to practice in the state of Virginia. His interest in traditional cultures and alternative medicine led him to the study of Chinese medicine with its emphasis on a holistic understanding of health. His training and focus is in the Eight Principle School of Chinese Medicine (Interior/Exterior, Deficiency/Excess, Cold/Hot, Yin/Yang), but not exclusively so. Before becoming an acupuncturist, he was an educator and importer with degrees from The George Washington University and Marymount University.

Arin brings to his practie a sincere concern for the well-being of his patients. For every mile his patients walk, he takes ten on their behalf. He is engaged in community outreach and helping those underserved by the current, impersonal medical system.

Arin is excited about his continued studies of Traditional Chinese Medicine and looks forward to growing so as to better serve his patients.
